Shipping & Returns Policy

Key Points for Customers

  • We highly recommend selecting Route Shipping Protection at checkout, especially for international orders.

  • Without Route Protection, you are assuming the risk for lost, stolen, or damaged packages after the carrier takes possession.

  • Always double-check your shipping address to avoid delays or additional charges.

Order Processing

  • Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday.

  • Orders placed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays begin processing the next business day.

  • Preparing orders for shipment currently takes 1–4 business days.

  • An additional 2–7 business days for standard ground shipping applies after dispatch.

  • International orders typically take 10–25 business days after dispatch, depending on destination and customs processing.

Address Accuracy

  • Double-check your address at checkout. Light Provisions is not responsible for incomplete or inaccurate addresses, inaccessible delivery locations, or refused deliveries.

  • Notify us before ordering if your address cannot accept USPS or UPS deliveries.

  • Orders requiring reshipment due to address inconsistencies may incur additional shipping charges, and shipping fees cannot be refunded.

  • Route Shipping Protection does not cover packages lost or delayed due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.


Shipping

  • Orders ship via USPS Priority Mail, USPS First Class, or UPS Ground (whichever is most cost-effective).

  • Occasionally, alternative carriers may be used if an equal service is offered at a lesser rate.

  • A shipping confirmation email is sent as soon as a label is created. Tracking activates once the carrier picks up the package.

  • Local delivery or in-person pickup orders are not covered by Route Shipping Protection.


Free Shipping

  • Free economy shipping on orders over $100 within the contiguous U.S.


Proof of Receipt

  • Orders over $300 ship with “Signature Required” receipt confirmation. Please plan accordingly.


International Shipping

  • International orders may incur import fees or customs duties determined by the destination country.

  • Light Provisions cannot calculate or cover these charges.

  • We recommend contacting your local Customs office for estimates before ordering.

  • If a shipment is refused due to fees or duties, you will be charged for both the original and return shipping, as well as any associated fees.

  • Customs delays are outside our control. Route will not consider a package “lost” if the order is stuck in customs for any reason, including incomplete paperwork, unpaid taxes or fees, or prohibited items. Please contact your local customs agency with questions. However, if a package is a replacement order processed by Route and it is stuck in customs due to unpaid fees, Route may reimburse the cost of the customs fees at our discretion.

  • We strongly recommend selecting Route Shipping Protection for international orders due to increased risk of loss or delay.

  • Route Shipping Protection may not be available for certain international destinations due to carrier or insurance restrictions. If Route coverage is unavailable at checkout, Light Provisions cannot be responsible for loss or damage in transit.

Route Shipping Protection

We now offer Route Shipping Protection at checkout. This optional service covers loss, theft, or damage while your order is in transit.

Quick Summary:
– Route Shipping Protection covers loss, theft, and damage in transit.
– Claims must be filed within 5–30 days of delivery.
– Without Route Protection, Light Provisions cannot replace or refund lost or stolen packages.

With Route Protection:

  • Claims for lost, stolen, or damaged packages are handled directly through Route’s claims portal.

  • Claims must be filed within 5–30 days of delivery for marked “delivered” packages or after 7 days (domestic) / 20 days (international) but before 30 days for packages presumed lost.

  • Replacements or refunds are processed according to Route’s policy terms.

  • If the requested replacement item is out of stock, Route may issue a refund rather than a replacement at its sole discretion.

 

  • Coverage applies to both domestic and international shipments (except restricted countries).

  • Adding Route to a subscription order automatically applies protection to future shipments until canceled.

  • Light Provisions acts only as the retailer and does not administer or adjudicate Route claims. Coverage decisions are made solely by Route and its underwriters.

Without Route Protection:

  • Light Provisions cannot refund or replace items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit once handed to the carrier.

  • Customers must work directly with the carrier to resolve delivery issues.

Exceptions:

  • If an error is confirmed to be our fault (wrong item shipped, packing error, or mislabeling), we will replace or refund the item regardless of Route coverage.

Important:

  • By purchasing Route Shipping Protection, you agree to complete Route’s claims process before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider.

  • Certain items may be excluded from Route Shipping Protection under Route’s terms or may be covered only up to Route’s limits. Please see Route’s coverage page for details.

Returns & Refunds

Unwanted Items (Unused Products)

  • Unused candles, lighters, and other items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if in sellable condition and in original packaging.

  • Lighters must be completely unused and unfueled. If a lighter has been filled with fuel, has a charred wick, or otherwise tampered with, it is no longer eligible for return.

  • Contact hello@lightprovisions.com with your order number and a photo of the unopened item to initiate a return.

  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. Package carefully; products not received in sellable condition will not be refunded.

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the product is defective.

  • Gift cards and seasonal items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.

  • International returns are not accepted at this time.

Damaged Items

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately with photos of the outer packaging and damaged product.

  • If Route Protection was purchased, file a claim through Route’s portal for faster resolution.

  • If Route Protection was not purchased, Light Provisions cannot refund or replace transit damage unless the issue is determined to be our error.

Defective or Incorrect Items

  • If you suspect a product defect or received the wrong item, email hello@lightprovisions.com with a photo of the affected item(s).

  • We’ll work with you to determine the cause and, if appropriate, send a pre-paid return label and issue a replacement.


Refund Process

  • Once your returned item is received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 5 business days.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used.

  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

 

 

Pivot Arc Lighter

Barebones’ products purchased directly from Barebones or an authorized Barebones distributor are covered by either a 2-year limited warranty or a limited lifetime warranty. Warranty information is located under “Warranty” on each product page. Third-party products (those not produced by Barebones) are not covered by the warranties listed below. For third-party product warranty information, please reach out to the respective party.

2-Year Limited Warranty

Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use, proper care, and maintenance of the product. Barebones will provide a replacement or item of equivalent value for any part or product found to be defective.

This warranty shall be void if the product is not used, assembled, or operated in accordance with the operation instructions provided; the product is resold or traded to another owner; components or accessories not compatible with the product have been used, or the user has abused or otherwise failed to maintain the product.

Warranty is void two years after purchase date.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use, proper care and maintenance of the product. Barebones will provide a replacement or item of equivalent value for any part or product found to be defective.

This warranty shall be void if the product is not used, assembled, or operated in accordance with the operation instructions provided; the product is resold or traded to another owner; components or accessories not compatible with the product have been used, or the user has abused or otherwise failed to maintain the product.

Barebones may require proof of purchase to process a warranty claim.
