Handmade in Japan from 100% recycled glass, recovered from old cathode ray tubes once used in televisions and monitors. Solid and architectural, the Square holder brings a grounded presence to any space, with a deep, near-black tone that absorbs and softens light.
This darker finish comes directly from the natural composition of the glass. Higher concentrations of iron and cobalt oxides create its rich, inky color, giving the surface a quiet depth that shifts subtly depending on the light.
Each piece is individually cast and polished by hand, resulting in slight variations in tone and form that reflect both the material and the process.

About the Packaging
Each IYÉ incense box is crafted to be as durable and refined as a traditional wooden case while remaining fully sustainable. The thick paperboard is made from recycled materials, including milk cartons and high-grade paper collected from homes and factories.
In Japan, beverage cartons are made from exceptionally pure pulp, often called “honor paper,” a phrase that reflects respect for good materials. Once the incense is finished, the labels can be removed, and the box repurposed for keepsakes, matches, or regifting.
