Two Candles That Actually Do Something for Earth Day
Candles aren’t exactly known for their sustainability. Burn through one and what are you left with? Another empty jar to stash in the cupboard, destined for that mythical “I’ll use it someday” project.
We’re all about keeping the flame alive without the landfill guilt. So this Earth Day, we’re highlighting two of our most sustainable options, the ones that keep your shelves (and conscience) clear.
Refill Candles: The Pillar That Gave Up
Our refill candles are here to rescue your dusty glassware from a life of neglect. They start out as a solid pillar (but don’t get too attached). A couple of hours into burning, they give up on standing tall, melt down, and settle comfortably into your chosen vessel.
What makes them even better? You can use virtually any container you like: your favorite cocktail glass, ceramic mug, or our signature rippled glassware (which, yes, is stunning). Just follow the safety guidelines here and let the wax do its thing.
No more tossing out jars. Just a clean burn and a vessel ready for round two.
Mystery Candles: Where Leftovers Shine
The Mystery Candle is our way of turning leftover wax into something new. After each production run, we collect the remaining wax, melt it down in small batches, and pour it into reusable tins—giving these materials a second life instead of letting them go to waste.
Each candle offers a pleasant, layered fragrance, though the exact scent is always a bit different depending on the mix. It’s a simple, effective way to reduce landfill waste while creating a unique product every time.
This Earth Day, let’s skip the greenwashing and actually do something simple and effective: reuse what we’ve already got. Whether that’s giving your favorite glass a second life or burning through scraps that would’ve otherwise been tossed—small steps, big impact.
Light one up (safely, of course).
