Tsubota Pearl’s Hard Edge lighters are refillable petrol lighters made in Japan with a clean, squared-off shape and compact everyday carry design.

The internal construction will feel familiar to anyone who has used a classic American petrol lighter: wick, flint, cotton reservoir, and lighter fluid. Tsubota Pearl refines that format through a more design-forward Japanese lens, with slimmer proportions, sharper lines, and a modern aesthetic in the hand.

First introduced in 2008, the collection includes hand-sprayed marble and tortoise shell finishes, translucent colorways, latitude-style cases, and tactile aluminum wave editions. Each lighter is refillable, made with replaceable parts, and built to be carried daily, maintained over time, and appreciated as a small design object.
