Color

Handmade in Colorado Springs from reclaimed wine and liquor bottles, these small glass dishes give discarded bottles a second life as something useful, colorful, and surprisingly versatile.

Local restaurants, bars, and individuals save their empty bottles, which are then cut, kiln-finished, and transformed in-house by a Colorado Springs glass studio. Each dish carries the color, weight, and character of the bottle it came from, while a fire-polished rim creates a smoother, more refined finish.

Use one as an incense dish with our sphere holder, or any holder that keeps the incense stick upright. Angled holders may send ash beyond the edge, so vertical setups work best.

They are also food-safe and dishwasher-safe, making them useful for salt, salsa, guacamole, coffee beans, olives, herbs, taco toppings, jewelry, matches, candle tools, and whatever small thing needs a better place to land.

How it's Made

Each dish begins as a discarded wine or liquor bottle collected from local restaurants, bars, and individuals throughout Colorado Springs.

The bottles are cleaned, cut, and carefully shaped before being kiln-finished. During this process, the rim is fire polished and the glass is slowly annealed, helping to relieve stress introduced during cutting while creating a smoother, more durable edge.

The result is a dish with a rounded, comfortable rim that feels at home holding incense ash, salt, garnishes, spoon rests, jewelry, or other small objects.

How to Use

For incense, pair with our sphere holder or another upright incense holder that keeps the stick vertical. This helps ash fall into the dish rather than beyond the edge.

For food, use as a small dish for salt, salsa, guacamole, olives, herbs, toppings, coffee beans, or snacks.

Also works as a catchall for matches, jewelry, candle tools, and small everyday objects.

Dimensions

Because each dish is made from reclaimed bottle glass, slight variations in dimensions, thickness, weight, and color are to be expected.
