Introduced in 2005, the Latitude lighter is a dimensional variation on Tsubota Pearl’s original Hard-Edge design. It keeps the same compact, squared-off form, but adds a ribbed polycarbonate case inspired by the lines of a terrestrial globe.

The geometric surface is created using a diamond-cut technique, where a diamond-tipped engraving bit carves precise facets into the body. Similar to the engraved striping on Tsubota Pearl’s Bolbo Striped lighter, the texture is cut into the material rather than molded on the surface. The result is a lighter that catches light from different angles while adding a more tactile feel in the hand.

Refillable, pocket-sized, and handcrafted from beginning to end in Tokyo, the Latitude keeps the clean utility of the Hard-Edge while adding more movement, texture, and precision to the design.
