The proverbial “once-banned fruit” that is black currant is where it’s at. In case you weren’t aware, this berry was banned in the U.S. for half a century, and it finds new life in this candle.

The rich sweetness of currant preserves provides depth to an oak and sandalwood base. A touch of amber and black pepper bring some warmth and spice to the party.

So dropkick that vivid, purple grape-jam-looking candle you’ve got sitting on your mantel into the nearest rubbish bin. You’re looking for a real candle, not a sack lunch PB&J ingredient.

Top: black currant, tart berry skin

Middle: amber, cracked black pepper

Base: oakwood, sandalwood

4.75 oz Travel Tin → compact and portable, ~25 hour burn time

Glass tumblers are intended for reuse after the candle is finished
Built around a balance of function, longevity, and everyday use

Allow the wax to fully melt to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunneling
Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time for best performance
Keep away from drafts to maintain an even flame
Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains

It's perfect

We always get comments on how good our home smells when we have Light Provisions candles lit. After this candle had burned I got my favorite cocktail rocks glass. The packaging is amazing. The scents deliver. 10/10 will buy again.

9.5 oz

Best of the best.

Truly was so sad when the candle had its last flicker. Now on to a bourbon glass. New favorite candle brand - and their costumer service is next level.

Perfect gift idea

My wife and I enjoyed this candle so much, we decided to gift it to our entire staff as Christmas presents. They're thrilled! Lighting it in our homes instantly makes us feel like we're in the middle of an East Coast forrest enjoying warm cider with friends. Thank you Light Provisions!

My first Light Provision and still a fave
