Locally handmade from reclaimed wine and liquor bottles, these tall glass vessels give discarded bottles a second life as an incense holder, vase, drinking glass, and whatever else you find a use for.

I designed the incense setup after seeing similar enclosed holders made with a wooden base, removable glass cylinder, and separate incense stand. This version simplifies the idea by using the bottle itself. Local restaurants, bars, and individuals save their empties, which are then cut and fire polished by a Colorado Springs glass studio.

Add our brass incense holder to suspend a stick inside the glass. The tall walls help protect the incense from being bumped or knocked over, while the bottom of the bottle catches falling ash and keeps it contained. Instead of ash scattering across a table, it collects neatly inside until you’re ready to clean it out.

Not a fan of incense? No problem. Use it as a vase for flowers, a drinking glass, a smoothie glass, utensil holder, or whatever happens to need a home.

Each bottle begins as a discarded wine or liquor bottle collected from local restaurants, bars, and individuals throughout Colorado Springs.

The bottles are cleaned, cut, and carefully shaped before being fire-polished. During this process, the rim is fire polished and the glass is slowly annealed, helping to relieve stress introduced during cutting while creating a smoother, more durable edge.

For incense, pair with our special brass hook holder. Only works with Japanese stick incense.

Because each bottle is made from reclaimed bottle glass, slight variations in dimensions, thickness, weight, and color are to be expected.

Why are the colors priced differently?

Because we work entirely with reclaimed bottles, we can only make these vessels from the glass our local bars, restaurants, and community provide.

Some colors, like antique green and cobalt, are relatively common. Others, like teal, come from specific wines or producers and appear much less often. Pricing reflects that rarity and availability.

Colors may disappear for long stretches or return unexpectedly, depending on what bottles come through the door.
